Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti feels that Inter showed the right qualities needed to get a result against Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of his team’s clash with the Blaugranas in El Clasico, the coach praised the Nerazzurri for their approach.
Inter played a more attacking game than many had expected for long spells away to Barcelona.
In fact, the Nerazzurri had relied less on deep defending and counterattacking to keep a foothold in the game than they had in the reverse fixture at home.
Inter were rewarded for their efforts with a draw that will be a much better result for them than Barcelona.
It was a thrilling and at times end-to-end match, and Ancelotti was impressed with how the Nerazzurri imposed themselves and did what had to be done at such a difficult away group
Comparing to what his own team must to, the coach said that “We play differently from Inter, who showed courage at the Camp Nou.”
“They didn’t give up, they were clinical.”
