Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is targeting the Nerazzurri’s Champions League group stage clash with Viktoria Plzen to make his return from injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Champions League match is the definitive point at which the Belgian should be back fully fit.

Lukaku will miss yet another match for Inter this weekend as he will not be part of the squad to face Salernitana in Serie A tomorrow.

It is not yet clear whether the Belgian will be able to play against Fiorentina next weekend.

Lukaku will undergo more tests during the week which will give a clearer idea of whether he will be fit to face La Viola.

However, it looks much clearer that the 29-year-old should finally be fully recovered when the Nerazzurri face Plzen in their fifth match of the Champions League group stage campaign.
