Salernitana striker Krysztof Piatek will be looking at tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A clash with Inter as an opportunity to overturn a miserable personal record against the Nerazzurri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who note that the 27-year-old has never scored against Inter, nor has he ever been on the winning side against the Nerazzurri.

Piatek has faced Inter on four occasions, first with Genoa in a 5-0 Nerazzurri thrashing.

After the Pole joined AC Milan in January of 2019 he came up against Inter in two Milan derbies, but lost both of them.

Piatek then left for Hertha Berlin, before returning to Italy on loan with Fiorentina, where he played all ninety minutes of a 1-1 draw with Inter but once again could not get on the scoresheet.

Now, the 27-year-old plays for Inter’s next opponents Salernitana, and will be eyeing up tomorrow’s match as an opportunity to prove that he can do it against the Nerazzurri.
