Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is currently on a scouting mission in Argentina.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri executive is looking at talented young forwards who could take over from Edin Dzeko in the long term.

Right now, Inter have four senior forwards who they can rely on, and coach Simone Inzaghi is happy with the setup for the present season.

However, with Edin Dzeko aged 36 and out of contract at the end of June 2023, it is uncertain how much longer the Bosnian will continue to play a role.

Accordingly, finding attacking reinforcements is one of the team’s priorities for the medium to long term.

To this end, Baccin is currently in Argentina, where scouting attacking targets is a primary item on his agenda.

The Nerazzurri Assistant Sporting Director is watching highly-rated young prospects within Argentine football to report back later as the club formulate their plans for the future in attack.
