Inter wingback Federico Dimarco had to come off the pitch due to cramps rather than an injury against Salernitana earlier this afternoon.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the 24-year-old’s issue was nothing more serious than cramp during the second half of the Serie A clash.
Dimarco went to ground just after the hour mark in Inter’s 2-0 Serie A win over Salernitana earlier today.
The wingback looked to be in some discomfort, and indicated that he would struggle to continue on the pitch.
Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi decided to substitute off the 24-year-old, putting Robin Gosens on in his place in the 63rd minute.
The worry will have been that Dimarco, who has started Inter’s last five matches across all competitions, had picked up an injury.
However, it looks as though it was just cramps, and the wingback was taken off the pitch as a precaution .
