Inter’s Serie A clash with Juventus at the start of next month promises to be one of the biggest occasions in a massive thirty days of football leading into the World Cup.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who preview the breathless thirty day sprint ahead in Serie A and single out the Derby d’Italia as a match that could be a turning point.
Inter have six matches in the league to come in the next month, in addition to their two remaining Champions League group stage fixtures.
The period will be an intense and gruelling one for all the teams in the Italian top flight as they have one month in which to play a lot of football to shape their futures this season.
Inter and Juventus have similar outlooks and objectives for the period in some respects.
Both the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri had starts to the season that were far from ideal, and so this period will represent an opportunity to recover, but also a huge amount of pressure not to drop any more points.
In this respect, the head-to-head meeting between the two at the beginning of November should be a fascinating encounter.
