Italian journalist Matteo Marani praised Inter manager on his 2-0 victory against Salernitana in Serie A earlier today.
Following Inter Milan’s 2-0 win against Salernitana, Sky Sport Italia journalist Matteo Marani complemented Simone Inzaghi for giving continuity to this new version of Inter.
“I liked Inter’s spirit in how they are confronting their games. I liked how they are battling, especially Calhanoglu, but also the rest of the squad,” said the Sky Sport Italia journalist.
“[Inzaghi] is giving continuity to the squad with this new version of Inter by playing Onana in goal, Dimarco as a starter, Calhanoglu as regista and Mkhtaryan as mezzala,” continued the Italian journalist.
However, Marani points out that the continuity is important because of the upcoming important games that Inter face in Serie A.
“Continuity is now needed because there is Fiorentina on Saturday and then Sampdoria and Juventus. This will be another important moment,” said the Sky Sport Italia journalist.
Inter Milan opened the scoring with Lautaro Martinez’s fourth of the season in Serie A. It is his second straight game with a goal after not scoring in the previous eight straight games of the season.
Marani highlighted Lautaro Martinez’s important week for the Nerazzuri and how he is needed to continue this positive run of form.
“It was an important week for Lautaro. Inter needs him because he represents continunity. I don’t know if Sepe could have done anything more on the first goal because the ball bounced up in front of him and it is always a difficult situation for goalkeepers,” concluded the Italian journalist.
Nicolo Barella also scored his second straight goal in as many games, previously scoring Inter Milan’s opening goal against Barcelona. The former Cagliari midfielder has three goals and four assists so far in Serie A this season.
Inter Milan play Fiorentina in their next game in Serie A on Saturday at Stadio Artemio Franchi at 20:45 CET and then the all-important game in the UEFA Champions League against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday at 18:45 CET.
