Nerazzurri legend and current Sky Sport Italia pundit Beppe Bergomi commented on Inter Milan’s 2-0 Serie A win over Salernitana earlier today.
Bergomi analyzed Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over Salernitana in the Serie A at the San Siro, stressing how important it was that the Nerazzurri did not concede in the second half.
“The important fact to point out is that Inter did not concede in the second half. This means that the squad remained concentrated for the whole 90 minutes,” Bergomi said after the match.
“Salernitana did not create a lot of chances, they created some chances from the end of the first half and the beginning of the second but Inter did well.
“Inzaghi’s team always controlled the game,” the legendary former Inter captain concluded.
Inter beat Salernitana 2-0 at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in the early lunch time Serie A fixture after a goal in each half by first Lautaro Martinez and then Nicolo Barella.
The former Inter Milan captain played his entire career with the Nerazzurri and made 517 appearances in Serie A with the club from 1979 until he retired from football in 1999.
During his time with the Nerazzurri, Bergomi won one Serie A title in 1988-89, one Coppa Italia in 1981-82, one Supercoppa Italiana in 1989 and three UEFA Cup’s in each of the 1990-91, 1993-94 and 1997-98 seasons.
Bergomi was also part of the 1982 FIFA World Cup winning Italian National Team that beat West Germany 3-1 in the final.
