Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to be fit enough to make the bench in next weekend’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 29-year-old had an individual training session this morning and should be part of the squad that travels to Tuscany.

Lukaku was on the sidelines as Inter beat Salernitana earlier this afternoon.

However, the Belgian had a busy morning, as he worked on the training pitch to try and put the finishing touches on his recovery from a thigh strain.

Lukaku has now missed around seven weeks with the injury, and he is increasingly impatient to return to the pitch.

The striker will not be rushed back to action before he is fully ready.

However, Lukaku will be spending the coming days doing everything he can to ramp up the final recovery, and he is likely to be fit enough to be on the bench against Fiorentina.
