Legendary former Inter, Barcelona, and Real Madrid forward Ronaldo feels that the Nerazzurri put in some real heroics to take four points off of Barcelona in the Champions league.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset whilst attending the Ballon d’Or ceremony, the Brazilian icon praised Inter’s performances against the Blaugranas, and also suggested that they still have a real chance of winning the Serie A title.
Inter will not necessarily have felt that their chances were good going into their Champions League matches against Barcelona.
The Spanish giants have looked like one of the most formidable teams in all of Europe, whereas the Nerazzurri had been coming off the back of some very poor form with two consecutive Serie A losses.
However, Inter showed real signs of life to beat the Blaugranas at the San Siro before earning a point after a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Camp Nou.
Ronaldo was very impressed by what he saw, stating that “I saw both of Inter’s matches against Barcelona, they did very well, those were two massive performances.”
As for the Serie A title race, the Brazilian said that “There’s still a long way to go.”
