The future of Christian Chivu as head coach of Inter’s Primavera team is in doubt after the team’s poor start to the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Romanian has seen the team start the season winless in their first eight matches, leaving them stranded second from bottom of the table.

Chivu had impressed with the job he did with the Primavera team last season, guiding them to the Under-19 Scudetto.

However, a number of important players from that squad departed during the summer, and the team has struggled to adjust.

Three wins and five losses from their opening eight matches has left the Nerazzurri in a very bad position in the table.

Chivu had been linked with the possibility of replacing Simone Inzaghi as the coach of Inter’s senior team if the current coach were to be sacked, just a few weeks ago.

However, now the Romanian’s future with the Primavera team is already in doubt.
