Former Inter midfielder Cesare Casadei has gotten off to a strong start in front of goal with Chelsea’s Under-21 team, scoring three from his first four matches.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who highlight the form that the 19-year-old has been showing with the Blues.

Casadei made the switch to Chelsea from Inter during the summer transfer window for a fee of around €20 million with add-ons.

The Nerazzurri had been reluctant to sell the 19-year-old given that he has been one of the brightest prospects from within the youth sector for some time.

However, it was decided that Chelsea’s offer was sufficient, particularly given the need to raise money in the summer.

Early signs for Casadei are positive in London, as he has now found the back of the net three times already for the Blues’ Under-21s.

This form has meant that the young midfielder is also being observed by Chelsea coach Graham Potter to possibly be involved in the senior team.
