Former Inter defender Daniele Adani feels that Inter are now in a good position to move forward in their season.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Adani identified the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 victory over Barcelona a couple weeks ago as a turning point, and also praised Nicolo Barella for becoming a more complete and attack-minded midfielder.

Inter look to be a different team compared to the one from a few weeks ago.

After the low point of losing two consecutive matches in Serie A agaisnt Udinese and Roma, the Nerazzurri look to have taken a different attitude on the pitch.

The players look more compact on the pitch, and individuals like Nicolo Barella are in better form and really starting to show their quality.

Adani gave his thoughts, stating that “From the stands at the San Siro you could see that there was a disconnect on the pitch, everyone was in business for himself.”

“But they acknowledged that, which was important,” he continued.

“Going beyond the quality of the opponents, you can see when a team is certain of themselves.”

“And today Inter are just another team,” Adani said, “they certainly benefited from that victory over Barce.”

“That 1-0 win gave them the sense of certainty to go and play a great match at the Camp Nou,” he suggested, “these are the kinds of performances that give a team a feeling of certainty.”

“They’re on the right track,” Adani said, “Inter are finding themselves – the level of play we saw against both Salernitana and Barcelona.”

Of the seeming changeover in goal between Samir Handanovic and Andre Onana, Adani called it “An inevitable transition, it was only a matter of seeing when it would take place.”

“Even though in my opinion it was unfair to attribute to much blame to Handanovic,” he added.

Adani spoke about Barella’s recent goals and attacking movements, stating that “He’s a key player in that way now.”

“He’s becoming a complete player by improving in all the little details of his game,” he added, “now he’s contributing in attack in ways he might not even have thought possible himself.”
