Inter are optimistic that striker Romelu Lukaku will be fit enough to be included in the squad to face Fiorentina on Saturday.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 29-year-old will be back in training tomorrow, and that the feeling is that there is a very good chance that he will be called up to the squad for Saturday’s Serie A clash.
Lukaku spent today continuing a personalized training program to strengthen his fitness, having fully recovered from the thigh problem he’s been dealing with.
The Belgian is expected to be back in full training with the rest of the squad tomorrow.
It will remain to be seen whether Lukaku can get fit enough to be included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s trip to Tuscany in time.
The decision will be made based on assessments made over the next few days.
However, in all likelihood, the club feel that Lukaku should be able to at least be included in the squad.
