Italian football agent Davide Torchia feels that Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has an influence and credibility that is virtually unmatched in football.
Speaking to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, Torchia praised the Nerazzurri CEO for his wide-reaching vision and understanding of football.
Marotta has been a massively important figure for the Nerazzurri since joining from Juventus in 2018.
The experienced executive had been the man behind the Bianconeri’s unprecedented run of nine successive league titles, and he also came to the Nerazzurri and had a similar effect.
Inter won the Serie A title for the first time in eleven season in 2020, the culmination of Marotta’s vision, and then managed to win the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana along with reaching the Champions League knockouts last season despite severe financial restrictions.
Torchia gave his thoughts on the Nerazzurri executive, stating that “Marotta was already an executive when I was playing.”
“He was already well-known for his serious and desire in the game,” he said of the Nerazzurri CEO, who has also helmed the likes of Varese, Monza, Spezia, and Sampdoria.
“It’s clear that in our world, when different people call you, their call can mean something different, and with him it’s really significant.”
“He’s always had the managerial and financial abilities that give him a total vision for football,” Torchia said of Marotta.
