Fiorentina’s Ivory Coast international striker Christian Kouame is determined to score against Inter on Saturday.

Viola’s Christian Kouame is looking forward to playing against Inter in the Serie A this Saturday, as the Viola face off against the Nerazzurri at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with kick-off scheduled for 20:45 CET.

“Will I score against Inter? I will try! I have to train or else my manger will get angry,” said the striker in an interview to Italian broadcaster DAZN via L’Interista.

However, the Fiorentina striker discussed the transfer rumours he faced in the summer.

“I didn’t know whether I would stay or not, then I adapted to a role that I wasn’t used to. When I returned from Austria, I decided to give everything for the club.

“I spoke to the club’s directors after the Napoli game and they told me that I would stay,” concluded the striker.

The Fiorentina striker has had a good start to the Serie A season, as he has made 13 appearances in all competitions and scored 2 goals in Serie A and one goal in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

He has also provided one assists in Serie A and 3 assists in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The Ivory Coast international suffered two major injuries during his career that has kept him out of action for over 300 days and it has forced him to miss 31 games.

Fiorentina signed the striker from Genoa for a fee of €11 million in September 2020, before sending the player on loan to RSC Anderlecht in August 2021 to recover his form after his injuries.
