Parma defender Alessandro Circati is happy that his team will be able to face Inter in the Coppa Italia round of sixteen in January.

Speaking to Parma’s official social media channel, via FCInter1908, Circati expressed his thoughts after progressing from the round of 32 with a 1-0 win over Bari.

Yesterday, Parma and Bari faced off in a match that determined which of the two Serie B sides would face Inter in the next round of the Coppa Italia.

The Nerazzurri, winners of the competition, will be formidable opposition for Parma.

However, Ciracti is pleased to have made it into such a high-profile match, an important achievement in the context of the Gialloblu’s season.

The Emilian club will have to wait until the Coppa Italia resumes on the other side of the World Cup break before facing Inter.

In the meantime, they have their own league pursuits to attend to, as do the Nerazzurri in Serie A.

“We’re all very happy about facing Inter,” Circati said, “although we’ll think about that closer to the actual match.”
