Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini’s availability for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina is in doubt due to a back injury.
This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the 28-year-old is still recovering from the lower back problem that kept him out of last weekend’s Serie A match against Salernitana, and it is not certain whether or not he will be fit to face La Viola.
Gagliardini has been working over the past week or so to put some lower back discomfort behind him.
The former Atalanta midfielder had been out of the squad for last Sunday’s Serie A clash with Salernitana due to the issue.
The hope had been that Gagliardini would be fit enough to be called up to the squad for this weekend’s trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina.
However, at the moment this is a major doubt as he has still not fully recovered.
