Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi will want to show that he has the team’s defense moving in the right direction in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash away to Fiorentina.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who suggest that it will be a priority for the coach to prove that the Nerazzurri can function well at the back with the rotating personnel that they have been using.
The past few matches have had some very encouraging signs for Inter at the back.
After a very poor start to the campaign in a defensive sense, the team have actually started to look composed and organized.
More midfield protection has allowed the back three to do their jobs calmly, and the players have shone individually as well as as a three-man unit.
All of Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastonoi, Francesco Acerbi, and Stefan de Vrij have had some standout performances recently, and Inzaghi will be aiming for three of the trio to further confirm that they’re back against La Viola.
