Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will not travel with the rest of the squad for tomorrow’s Serie A clash away to Fiorentina.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 29-year-old will not be included in the squad for tomorrow evening’s match, as had been anticipated since yesterday.

Lukaku has spent the past two days in full training with the rest of the Inter squad.

However, the Belgian is not considered to be fully fit yet, and would at most be restricted to an appearance from the bench against La Viola.

Accordingly, the decision has been made that Lukaku should stay back and train rather than take the trip to Tuscany.

Sky clarifies that there is no cause for worry with the fact that Lukaku has not been called up for tomorrow’s match.

Rather, it has simply been a decision regarding the 29-year-old’s fitness to not rush him back to action, and to instead focus on continued training to improve his fitness.
