Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is set to choose Joaquin Correa to partner Lautaro Martinez against Fiorentina, leaving Edin Dzeko on the bench.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the tactician has taken Dzeko’s physical condition into consideration after the 36-year-old began to tire at the end of Inter’s 2-0 win over Salernitana last time out.

Whilst it is felt that a week without a game has helped the Bosnia striker recuperate, Inzaghi will still rest him and focus on Dzeko leading the line against Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League on Wednesday instead.

With Romelu Lukaku unavailable, the coach will decide on Correa to start in attack at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, partnering compatriot Martinez.

Elsewhere, Matteo Darmian could be in line to replace Denzel Dumfries at right wing-back, whilst Francesco Acerbi will keep his place in the centre of defence.
