Inter are monitoring the Spanish market in their search for new defenders, and could turn to Valencia’s Jose Gaya or Jose Angel Carmona of Sevilla.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are uncertain of Robin Gosens’ future at wing-back and are sounding out long-term options.

Sporting director Piero Ausilio travelled to Spain to watch Sevilla host Valencia on Tuesday evening and is thought to have been impressed with both Gaya and Carmona.

In addition, Ausilio has taken an interest in fellow Valencia defender Thierry Correia, whilst Sevilla’s Gonzalo Montiel is also believed to have caught the eye.

Inter are showing interest in Villarreal wing-back Alfonso Pedraza, and could be tempted to push to move for him in January or next summer.

The Spanish U-21 international, who helped Villarreal to the Europa League in 2021, could be available for €15 million and Ausilio is thought to be monitoring his situation closely.
