Inter striker Edin Dzeko insists that his side must focus on securing all three points against Fiorentina in their Serie A clash this evening, whilst improving their defence.

The Nerazzurri travel to the Stadio Artemio Franchi looking for a third successive win in Serie A, and a victory over the Viola will move them into the top six, at least until tomorrow.

Although only named amongst the substitutes for the match, Dzeko spoke to Inter TV ahead of kick-off and offered his thoughts on what was required to earn another win, as reported by FCInterNews.it.

“We just have to win. In the end, if we concede a goal but we win, I’m happy and I think the boys are too,” the former Roma striker declared.

Fiorentina have struggled for goals this season and only netted eight times in the league, with Dzeko seeing it as an opportunity to further plug a defence that has flattered to deceive at times this term.

“It’s true that we have conceded many more goals than we should have, however lately we have been much more compact than before and we hope to continue like this,” the Bosnian striker added.

Dzeko joined Inter from Roma in 2021 and has scored 21 goals in 63 appearances for the Nerazzurri, including four this season.
