UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin continues to speak out against a possible formation of a SuperLeague.
UEFA President Aleksanfer Ceferin is still against the formation of a SuperLeague, and believes that it does not represent football.
“We are here to discuss football and the SuperLeague is not football,” said the UEFA President to according to AS via FCInterNews.
The SuperLeague was founded on April 18, 2021 by a consortium of European clubs, such as Juventus and Real Madrid, who are considered to be the leaders of this new pan-European league.
Other clubs that have expressed interest in joining the SuperLeague inlcude: England’s Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
Italy’s AC Milan and Inter Milan have expressed their desire to join the Super League.
Spain’s Barcelona is also included in the list of teams that are willing join the proposed League.
The proposed SuperLeague has faced severe criticism from fans, national football associations and from the European Union.
The majority of the clubs involved have apologized for their participation in the creation of the SuperLeague, except for Juventus and Real Madrid.
