After flying out to Spain on a scouting mission, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was left unconvinced by Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, Ausilio was in attendance as Valencia were held to a 1-1 draw against Sevilla in La Liga on Tuesday, with the intention of getting a closer look at Diakhaby.

However, the Guinea international failed his audition and did not do enough to persuade Ausilio to consider him as a long-term target, despite his contract expiring next summer and the relatively low cost it would require to purchase him in January.

Instead, Inter are more interested in Sevilla defender Tanguy Nianzou after he caught the eye in the match, and the Nerazzurri are ready to monitor him more closer over the coming months.

There is a fear that the 20-year-old Frenchman will see his price continue to shoot up though, and Inter may find him beyond their budget.
