Italian media argue that Inter Milan won against Fiorentina on Saturday despite their self-inflicted difficulties.
In today’s print edition of Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, as reported via FCInterNews, the Roma based newspaper argue that Inter Milan are not capable of winning without creating problems for themselves.
“It is not enough for Inter to win a game, as they have to suffer and win it after Fiorentina made a comeback with Mkhitaryan scoring the winner minutes after Jovic tied the game at 3-3,” said the Italian newspaper.
“Inter won on the same pitch where Juventus and Napoli have tied and confirms their comeback after a fortunate win.
“Among all of the positive aspects, the one that stands out is that the Nerazzurri have the ability to suffer as a team,” the Corriere della Sera continues.
“It is a sign that there is a significant change in the squad brought on by a will to make a comeback in the league,” concluded the Italian newspaper.
Inter have made a comeback from a poor run of form that left them with 3 losses in 5 Serie A games.
The Nerazzurri lost against AC Milan in the local derby on September 3 and then two straight losses against Udinese and AS Roma at the end of September and early October.
Inter are now on a 5 game unbeaten streak in all competitions with wins against Barcelona, Sassuolo, Salernitana and Fiorentina.
The Nerazzurri are hoping that there good run of form continues as they face off against Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday at the San Siro at 18:45 CET. A win secures a place in the Round of 16 of Europe’s premier club competition.
