Italian media argue that Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan enjoyed his first moment of success since joining the club in the summer.

According to today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported via FCInterNews, Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is enjoying his first spell of success at his new club, exemplified by the 4-3 away win against Fiorentina.

“Maybe [Mkhitaryan] thought that his first Inter goal would be more spectacular, but he probably didn’t think that his first goal club would have had such an important impact,” wrote the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Armenian midfielder has been instrumental to Inter manager Simone Inzaghi in covering the gap left by the absence of Marcelo Brozovic’s injury.

The former Roma player has made 8 appearances in Serie A and scored 1 goal, while providing 1 assist so far this season.

The midfielder has also made appearances in all four of Inter’s UEFA Champions League Group Stage games.

Simone Inzaghi is hoping to count on the Armenian international in Inter’s next game against Viktoria Plzen at the San Siro on Wednesday at 18:45 CET in the UEFA Champions League because a win will secure the Nerazzurri a place in the Round of 16.
