Inter Milan midfielder believes that his club’s victory against Fiorentina yesterday was the most important outcome.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan does not care how or when he scored the game-winning goal in Inter’s Serie A game against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi yesterday.

“It doesn’t matter how I scored. The most important thing is that we won and brought home the 3 points,” said the midfielder to Inter TV via FCInterNews.

“We deserved the win because we showed the will to win the game. We gave up the lead twice during the game but we deserved to win,” concluded the former AS Roma midfielder.

The Armenian midfielder has been an important player for Inter manager Simone Inzaghi by covering the absence of Marcelo Brozovic.

He has made 5 straight appearances for Inter, confirming his importance for the club during their recovery in form and over their 5 game unbeaten streak.

Mkhitaryan has made 8 appearances in Serie A and has scored 1 goal, while providing 1 assist.

The Armenian has also made 4 appearances in the UEFA Champions League and collected 1 yellow card in the 3-3 draw against Barcelona.

Inter’s next game is against Viktoria Plzen in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday at 18:45 CET at the San Siro, where a win can guarantee qualification for the Round of 16.
