Italian media argue that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s talent has no limits after his impressive performance against Fiorentina in Serie A on Saturday.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport argues in today’s print edition that Inter player Lautaro Martinez is the club’s antidote to the Nerazzurri’s woes after his 2 goals and one assists against Fiorentina yesterday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
“Four goals in the last three games, Il ‘Toro’ knows no limits and his 43 days goaless streak is forgotten,” said the Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews.
“He is the antidote and the symbol of Inter’s comeback to return to the top of the table before the international break,” continued the Italian newspaper.
“Lautaro has experienced his first crazy Inter moment and was able to keep calm and always in control,” concluded the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Argentinean player is currently on a good run of form as he has scored 4 goals in his last 3 games for Inter.
Prior to this spell of good form, the Inter striker failed to find the net in 5 straight Serie A games.
This coincided with Inter’s worst form so far this season, as the Nerazzurri lost 2 straight games against Udinese and AS Roma.
During the 5 games where Lautaro Martinez failed to score, Inter also lost against AC Milan.
The Nerazzurri are hoping that Lautaro Martinez’s scoring run continues as they face off against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday at 18:45 CET at the San Siro, where a win secures a place in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
