Italian journalist Giancarlo Padovan asserted that the Nerazzurri deserved to beat Fiorentina on Saturday at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
Sky Sport Italia journalist Giancarlo Padovan stated that Inter played a good game against the Viola but they have to be careful against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League.
“Inter played a great game, and they were able to do enough by the 14th to gain a 2-0 lead. Determination is superior to fortune, but there was a bit of luck on Mkhitaryan’s goal,” said the Italian journalist via FCInter1908.it.
“Fiorentina can feel hard done by the red card not given to Dimarco, as it was an error by the referee,” continued Padovan.
“A complete suicide is needed by Inter to throw a similar situation [against Viktoria Plzen]. I don’t believe that they have the same problems in Europe,” concluded the Sky Sport Italia journalist.
The Nerazzurri are currently on a 5 game unbeaten streak in all competition following a 1-0 win against Barcelona at the San Siro, and a 3-3 draw against the Blaugrana at the Camp Nou. Inter won 3 straight games in Serie A against Sassuolo, Salernitana and Fiorentina.
The next game is against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday at the San Siro at 18:45 CET in the UEFA Champions League, as Inter must win in order to secure qualification to the Round of 16.
The Nerazzurri’s next game in Serie A is against former Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic’s Sampdoria at the San Siro on Saturday, October 29 at 20:45 CET.
