Legendary Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga praised Nerazzurri midfielder Nicolo Barella’s recent form and sarcastically joked about striker Lautaro Martinez’s previous form.

Former Sampdoria goalkeeper joked about the Inter striker’s previous poor run of form in a YouTube video analyzing Inter’s 4-3 win against Fiorentina.

“It was ‘lucky’ that Lautaro Martinez was struggling for form one week ago and now he is on top of this game,” said the goalkeeper via FCInterNews.

Zenga also praised Barella’s performanced in his YouTube video.

“When Inter took the lead, Barella demonstrated once again that he is a player in fantastic form,” said the legendary goalkeeper.

However, he lauded Dzeko’s impact and praised Inter for their return to form.

“[Dzeko] is became very important in this game, as he played through Lautaro on the 3-2 goal. Inter is becoming a team once again by being compact, a group that battles and knows how to help each other in difficult moments,” concluded Zenga.

Lautaro Martinez has been a good run of form as he has scored 4 goals in his last 3 appearances in all competitions.

The Inter striker scored in the 3-3 draw against Barcelona at the Camp Nou and then in the back-to-back Serie A games against Salernitana and Fiorentina.

Nicolo Barella has also been experiencing a good run of form, as he has scored in Inter’s last three games in all competitions.
