The main culprit in a physical attack on an Inter fan in the aftermath of the Nerazzurri’s 4-3 win over Fiorentina has been identified.
This according to investigator Maurizio Auriemma, via FCInterNews, who announced that the findings of the initial investigator have determined that a 56-year-old man had been the one behind the assault.
An Inter supporter who was in the home section at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday was assaulted, with a group of Fiorentina fans having been involved in the incident.
The incident took place not long after Nerazzurri midfielder scored the 4-3 winner in stoppage time.
This was when the tensions between the Inter fan and the Viola supporters boiled over.
According to investigator Auriemma, a 56-year-old man who was amongst the Fiorentina supporters has particularly been identified as a culprit in the physical attack.
The man could face a stadium ban and possibly other action as a result of the attack.
