Inter are seriously considering a move for Valencia defender Mouctar Diakhaby on a free transfer next summer.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Nerazzurri are ready to move for the 25-year-old in the event that he does not extend his current contract with Los Che.

Diakhaby, who joined Valencia from Lyon in the summer of 2018, is currently under contract with the Spanish side until the end of June 2023.

The Nerazzurri have already been following the Guinean in the past with a view to a possible move.

Now, given Diakhaby’s contract situation, the defender could be available during next summer’s transfer window without a transfer fee being involved.

Things will likely depend on how the 25-year-old’s contract situation with Valencia progresses.

Should Diakhaby be out of contract next summer, he would become a serious target for the Nerazzurri to reinforce their backline for the following season.
