Torino legend Francesco Graziani believes that referee Paolo Valeri was too focused on the penalty kick instead of giving Inter defender Federico Dimarco a red card in Fiorentina-Inter.

Former Roma player Francesco Graziani believed referee Paolo Valeri lacked concentration in Fiorentina-Inter because he neglected to give Inter full-back Federico Dimarco a red card after he concede a penalty kick following a challenge on Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonventura.

” Valeri was focused exclusively on the penalty kick, which conditioned his decision,” said the former Torino player to Italian broadcaster Sportmediaset yesterday afternoon as reported via L’Interista.

“Inter have recovered and they are doing well after important players finding their form. The only worry is the amount of goals they are conceding,” concluded the former Roma player.

The two-time Scudetto winner made 352 appearances in Serie A during his 19-year playing career.

He made his name with Torino when his side the Serie A title in 1976. Francesco Graziani followed up his success with AS Roma when he won the Scudetto alongside Bruno Conti in 1983.

He also won the Coppa Italia with the Giallorossi in the 1985-86 season. Graziani also won the 1982 FIFA World Cup alongside such legendary player as Paolo Rossi and goalkeeper Dino Zoff.
