Legendary former Inter, Lazio, and Atletico Madrid striker Christian Vieri feels that the Nerazzurri can dream of the Serie A title again.
Speaking on his Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Vieri argued that the Nerazzurri are once again playing their best football and that this means that they are right back in the hunt for the Scudetto.
Inter’s start to the current season was certainly not one befitting one of the favourites for the Serie A title.
Four wins and four losses in their opening eight league matches gave the Nerazzurri significant ground to make up in the table.
There is still a ways for Inter to go if they are to catch up to teams like Napoli, AC Milan, and Lazio at the very top.
However, the sense is that based on what has been seen on the pitch from Inter in recent matches, they are actually capable of doing this.
“Inter are back to being Inter,” Vieri said.
“The Nerazzurri still concede a lot of goals, it’s true, but they also score many,” he continued.
“Compared to a month ago they’ve recovered brilliantly,” Vieri went on, “in fact for me now they’re ready to start fighting for the top spots again and in the new year they’ll be in the Scudetto.”
“And let’s not forget that if they beat Viktoria Plzen, they reach the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
