Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has managed to find the ideal balance in midfield for when Marcelo Brozovic is out injured.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who laud the coach for getting the midfield to function as well as it has over the past few matches.

It had been expected that summer signing Kristjan Asllani would be the player to take Brozovic’s place in the lineup if the Croat were injured.

With Brozovic out for the past month or so with a thigh strain, however, it looks to have been deemed that the Albanian is not quite ready to start in his place on a regular basis.

Instead, it has been Hakan Calhanoglu who has largely held down the fort in the regista role.

The Turk has played the role well, and furthermore the reshuffled midfield has been getting the best out of Nicolo Barella as well as summer arrival Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
