Inter and Juventus are both interested in signing Benfica left-back Alex Grimaldo on a free transfer next summer.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that both of the Serie A duo are tracking the 27-year-old to see if he will decline to extend his deal with Benfica and become available on a free transfer next summer.
Grimaldo’s current contract with Benfica is set to run out at the end of June 2023.
Contract talks have yet to take place to take place between the left-back and the Portugues giants.
However, should the Spaniard not agree a new deal, then he will become available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
A number of clubs are interested in signing Grimaldo should he become available without a transfer fee.
According to Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are foremost among them, although the player’s priority move would be to Barcelona.
