Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is targeting being at his physical peak in massive Serie A matches against the likes of Juventus and Atalanta.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian is back in the squad and is aiming to find his very best form for the big league fixtures before the World Cup break.
Lukaku is finally integrated into the Nerazzurri squad again having trained fully with the squad in the past couple of days.
The 29-year-old has been out for around two months recovering for a thigh strain, but will be in the squad for tomorrow’s Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen.
Against the Czech team, the striker will make at most a cameo appearance from the bench.
However, with each passing match, Lukaku should find greater physical condition and match-sharpness.
The aim is to have the Belgian playing his very best football when Inter meet Juventus and Atalanta next month, matches that could play a big role in how the Nerazzurri’s Serie A campaign goes.
