Wingback Federico Dimarco is set to start on the left for Inter in this evening’s Champions League match against Viktoria Plzen.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who predict that the 24-year-old will get the nod over Robin Gosens for the left-wingback position in the Champions League group stage clash.
One of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi’s main selection doubts for this evening’s match will concern who plays on the flanks.
Dimarco has started the majority of the Nerazzurri’s recent matches, with the 24-year-old impressing with his form.
However, Gosens has also put in some impressive recent substitute appearances that could make a case for the German to start.
Nevertheless, according to the Corriere it is most likely that Inzaghi will continue to put his faith in Dimarco in the starting eleven.
The Corriere’s complete predicted eleven for the match is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
