Inter wingback Robin Gosens is not satisfied with the role that he currently has at Inter, and would be open to leaving the club in January.
This according to Sky Sports Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg, who reported in a tweet that the 28-year-old would want to move to a different club if his situation doesn’t change, and that Bayer Leverkusen are still interested.
Despite having been expected to inherit the starting spot on the left flank from Ivan Perisic this season, Gosens has found playing time fairly hard to come by.
The likes of Matteo Darmian and especially in recent matches Federico Dimarco have frequently started over the German.
The former Atalanta wingback had already been linked with a switch to Leverkusen during the summer transfer window.
However, that was only during the final days of the window, and Gosens stayed at Inter instead.
However, according to Plettenberg Gosens is not happy with the relatively peripheral role that he currently plays at the Nereazzurri, and Leverkusen could return for him as early as January.
He tweeted, “Exclusive news regarding Gosens: He is unsatisfied with his role at Inter.”
❗️Excl. News #Gosens: He is unsatisfied with his role at @Inter. If his situation won’t change, a transfer in winter is very likely! Leverkusen is very interested again, the club & his management are still in contact. Gosens is open to join Bayer 04. @Sky_Marlon89 @SkySportDE 🇩🇪
