Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic will not be fit enough to make the squad for tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Viktoria Plzen, but striker Romelu Lukaku will.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that Brozovic has left training for today, whilst Lukaku has remained with the team suggesting that he will be included in the squad for tomorrow’s group stage match.

Brozovic has been getting closer and closer to a return from the thigh strain that he sustained during the September international break.

The Croat may be able to get back on the pitch within the next week or two given the pace of his recovery in recent individual training sessions.

However, the 29-year-old has left the squad for today, and will not be in the squad to face Plzen tomorrow.

Lukaku, meanwhile, has been slowly recovering from his own thigh strain.

In the Belgian’s case, he is still with the squad, and should be called up tomorrow.
