Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni looked back to his best in yesterday evening’s Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen, whilst Federico Dimarco also had a huge influence on the match.

This is highlighted in the player ratings in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note the importance of the pair down the Nerazzurri’s left.

Bastoni received a 7/10 score for his performance, which looked both astute at the back and a constant engine of progression as the Nerazzurri looked to keep the pressure on Plzen.

Meanwhile, Dimarco was given an outstanding 8/10 grade, with Tuttosport describing the 24-year-old’s display as “monumental.”

Inter found openings down their left flank all night against Plzen, and they had the expansive and clinical passing and movement of Bastoni and Dimarco to thank for it.

Meanwhile, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan received a score of 7.5/10 for his all-action display in the centre of the pitch and opening goal.
