Inter striker Edin Dzeko has been named as his team’s outstanding performer in their 4-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen yesterday evening.
The 36-year-old was given an 8/10 score in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the highest of any Nerazzurri player.
Dzeko did not quite start yesterday evening’s match at his best as the whole Inter team had a few early jitters.
However, the Bosnian played his way into the match, becoming more and more influential with his holdup play in buildup, and also in the penalty area.
Dzeko was the man on the spot for two of Inter’s best chances in the first and second half.
The former Roma, Manchester City, and Wolfsburg striker made no mistake, calmly finishing both to make sure of the result for the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta also highlight the performances of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nicolo Barella, and Federico Dimarco.
