Inter President Steven Zhang has reiterated that the Nerazzurri are not up for sale by current owners Suning.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, the President repeated what he said yesterday that despite the continued rumours that the owners have decided to sell, this is not in fact how they feel.

Reports in the last week or so have suggested that Suning have changed their stance from looking for minority investors in Inter to seeking to sell the club outright.

This is hardly the first time that there have been doubts about the Chinese company’s viability to stay on at the helm of the Nerazzurri.

However, in all previous occasions, Suning have issued clear denials that their intention is to sell, and this has once again been the case.

Zhang has once again stated that there is no desire to sell Inter on the part of Suning, echoing his remarks from yesterday evening after the team beat Viktoria Plzen to secure qualification for the Champions League knockouts.

“The club has always been at the centre of speculation over not just the last two or three years, but even four years ago,” the President said.

“In the market there are always a lot of conflicting voices going around, but we have to focus on ourselves,” he continued, “and all I can say is that I’m not talking to any investors and the club isn’t for sale.”
