Former Inter coach Antonio Conte could replace Max Allegri as head coach of Juventus after the World Cup.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that it would be more than just speculation that the former Nerazzurri coach could leave Tottenham Hotspur to return to Serie A and the Bianconeri.

Allegri’s future at Juventus looks more uncertain than ever after the Bianconeri had their elimination from the Champions League confirmed via a 4-3 defeat at the hands of Benfica.

Now, the Turin-based giants are assessing who they would appoint in the event that they decide to sack Allegri.

Conte, who has coached the likes of Juventus, Chelsea, and the Italian national team in the past in addition to winning the Serie A title with Inter two seasons ago, is currently in charge at Tottenham Hotspur.

However, according to the Gazzetta, he is one of the main names on the Bianconeri’s list of possible successors to Allegri.

According to the Gazzetta, there is a very real chance that Juventus could convince Conte to leave Spurs and come back to Serie A, having been gone from the Italian top flight since stepping down from the Nerazzurri at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
