Legendary former Inter, Roma, Real Madrid, and Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano feels that Viktoria Plzen put in a very tame performance against the Nerazzurri yesterday.

Speaking on his Instagram account, as reported by FCInterNews, Cassano gave the view that the Czech team’s display did not give the Nerazzurri much of a challenge as they reached the knockout rounds of the Champions League with a 4-0 win.

Inter were not taking three points for granted against Plzen despite the difference in quality that certainly exists between the two teams on paper.

However, the match was quite one-sided in the end, as the 4-0 scoreline was a fair reflection of the balance of chances between the two teams.

In the view of Cassano, this was as much the result of the Czech champions not being terrible formidable opposition as it was of the Nerazzurri putting in a strong performance.

“Inter and Milan both enjoyed nice leisurely jogs,” he characterized the two Milan team’s Champions League endeavours.

“Dinamo Zagreb looked like a Serie B team, Viktoria Plzen looked even worse, like a Serie B team.”

“Both of them had their lives made easy,” he added.

Cassano noted that “Inter were also lucky that Lukaku came on and scored, this can give them confidence for the future.”
