Inter wingback Robin Gosens is not happy with the playing time he’s receiving, and could join Bayer Leverkusen in the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 28-year-old is particularly frustrated to see Federico Dimarco become first-choice ahead of him, and could be bound for the Bundesliga as early as January.

Gosens had been hoping that his massive goal off the bench against Barcelona could be a turning point where he really kicks on and establishes himself in an Inter shirt.

However, it has instead continued to be the in-form Dimarco who has held down the starting spot on the left.

Gosens had been hoping that he could get a start in Wednesday’s Champions League group stage match against Viktoria Plzen.

However, it was instead Dimarco who was given the nod, with the 24-year-old putting in a standout performance.

Gosens has noted that, even while virtually throughout the team there has been constant rotation to the starting eleven, he has still only started in matches against Lecce, Bayern Munich, and the first meeting with Plzen.

Accordingly, the former Atalanta wingback would want to leave the Nerazzurri as he doesn’t see his situation changing.

A move to the Bundesliga would be most likely for the German, and Leverkusen had already shown a strong interest in his signature during the final days of the summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund would be an unlikely destination for Gosens, as he is a childhood fans of the Schwarzgelben’s bitter rivals Schalke.

However, in any event the 28-year-old is certainly eyeing up a departure from Inter unless his situation changes very soon.
