Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is getting very close to a return to full fitness, and is likely to be ready to be part of the squad for next week’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old won’t be ready to face Sampdoria tomorrow, but that his return is getting very close.

Brozovic’s recovery has been accelerating rapidly over the last number of days, and now it looks only a short while before he is ready to be back on the pitch.

The Croat will not be called up for tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria as had initially been hoped.

However, the wait should not be too much longer for Brozovic’s return.

Based on the pace of his recovery process at this point, it looks very likely that the 29-year-old will at least be fit enough to be part of the squad that travels to Germany to face Bayern next week.
