Young Sporting Defensor defender Alan Matturro has been earning positive reviews for his performances in the Uruguayan league ahead of his expected move to Inter next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that in a recent clash with fellow Uruguayan team Nacional, the 18-year-old put in a very impressive performance against striker Luis Suarez.

Matturro has been strongly linked with a move to Inter, with the Nerazzurri reportedly having an agreement in place to sign the young defender next summer.

The Uruguayan is marked out as a player for the future of the Nerazzurri’s defense, according to reports.

Matturro is admired by Inter for his high potential, but he is more than just a prospect for the future.

According to Tuttosport, Matturro has already become very highly thought-of at senior level in Uruguayan football, with a recent highlight being a performance in which Uruguayan international and legendary former Barcelona, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid international Suarez could hardly get a kick.

According to the newspaper, Matturro has named his personal role model as a defender as current Paris Saint-Germain and former Real Madrid and Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos.
