Ahead of their Champions League encounter against Inter, Bayern Munich have been handed a boost by the return to fitness of winger Leroy Sane.

According to FCInterNews.it, the Bundesliga champions have welcomed the former Manchester City star back to training after a muscle strain sustained in mid-October, and appears fit enough to be in contention to feature against the Nerazzurri.

Inter travel to Munich to face the Group C winners in the final match of the first phase of the competition on Tuesday, with both teams already securely through to the knockout rounds.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann may turn to Sane as he looks to build his fitness up again, and the 26-year-old could now be in the team that welcomes Inter to the Allianz Arena after all.

Germany international Sane joined Bundesliga champions Bayern from Manchester City in 2020 and has made 105 appearances for the Bavarian club, scoring 34 goals.
